about

Alphabet (2020) is a sound work and book with objects that deals with the evolution/construction of language and ‘performance vocabularies’ through gestures, images, speech and imitation. The piece is voiced by Flis Holland and Flis Kjisik, and supported by synthesized sounds produced (in part through interactions between myself and sea sponges) at studios in Berlin, Stockholm and Helsinki. Its twenty-six parts are intended to be heard in any random order.
